Pop-punk practitioners rarely make it to a third album without declaring some sort of newfound sensibility -- they're going a little darker, say, or they're experimenting with a dancier sound. But Simple Plan stick to pretty familiar territory on album three, which maybe explains the unclever self-title: perhaps the plan for this one really is simple. The Montreal boys pound away at full speed here, cranking out a batch of short, frivolous songs that showcase Pierre Bouvier's nasal but weirdly appealing voice and one, "I Can Wait Forever," that seems to be rooted in real feeling. The whining hasn't let up (see "No Love" and "Generation"), but the fun hasn't either. Credit the producers: Timbaland's protégé Danja Hills pitches in, and so does Max Martin, a knob wizard known for shining up the songs of Kelly Clarkson and fellow Canadian Avril Lavigne.

Each year, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) receives custom tabulations of American Community Survey (ACS) data from the U.S. Census Bureau. These data, known as the "CHAS" data (Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy), demonstrate the extent of housing problems and housing needs, particularly for low income households. The CHAS data are used by local governments to plan how to spend HUD funds, and may also be used by HUD to distribute grant funds. For more background on the CHAS data, including data documentation and a list of updates and corrections to previously released data, click here: Background.
HUD has created a simple web-based table generator (also known as a query tool) that provides some of the most commonly used CHAS figures (click here for the CHAS query tool). Data users who are comfortable working with large datasets and have appropriate data management software (such as SAS or SPSS) can download the complete set of data files (click here for the data download page). The data download tool includes data from every ACS release from 2006-2008 through 2012-2016, for a variety of geographic summary levels. HUD has also created new analytical tools to support HUD grantees preparing their Consolidated Plans. The eCon Planning Suite and CPD Maps are pre-loaded with CHAS data. Access to the eCon Planning Suite is limited to CPD grantees, but CPD Maps is available to the general public.
Users can select a specific jurisdiction of interest (such as a state, county, or city) and receive a few simple tables including information such as the number of low income households, or the number of households with housing cost burden. Results can be viewed in a web browser, or downloaded in spreadsheet form.
(1) Simple Query System. Users can use a simple query system to obtain basic housing need and basic affordability mismatch data for their jurisdiction. These data can be queried at the state, county, place, HOME program, and CDBG program geographic levels. The housing need tables are somewhat more detailed tables than the old CHAS Table 1C.
The summary level 080 (tract part) and 091 (block group part) are not standard shape files available from the U.S. Census Bureau. For planners interested in mapping the CHAS data at the Census tract or block group level, they can obtain the summary level 080 and 091 data from the HUDUSER website:
For now, we can make our own calculations for what the 2023 retirement plan contributions will be. We'll update them if they change when the IRS makes it official in the final few months of 2022 (as of late October, the IRS has confirmed the numbers).
The total employee contribution limit to all 401(k) and 403(b) plans for those under 50 will be going up from $20,500 in 2022 to $22,500 in 2023, a large increase. The catch-up contribution limit will increase from $6,500 to $7,500, so if you're 50+, your 401(k) employee contribution limit should be $30,000 in 2023.
457(b) contribution limits will increase from $20,500 to $22,500 in 2023. 457(b)s have unique catch-up contribution rules, so consult with your plan administrator if you are interested in putting more in your 457(b).
The 401(a) compensation limit (the amount of earned income that can be used to calculate retirement account contributions) will increase from $305,000 in 2022 to $330,000 in 2023. This is always 5X the maximum 401(k) plan total contribution limit.
The deductibility phaseout for IRA contributions for those with a retirement plan at work should increase from $68,000-$78,000 in 2022 for singles to $73,000-$83,000 in 2023, and it'll move from $109,000-$129,00 in 2022 for those married filing jointly to $116,000-$136,000 in 2023.
I have a local government job in NJ, I contribute the maximum of 7.5% of my pensionable salary to my state pension plan. In addition I contribution the maximum plus my 3 year prior to retirement amount to a 457b, namely 39K, 2021 is my 3rd year. I am not planning to retire in 2022 so I will go back to my 20,500 plus 6,000 in January 2022. What else can I do to invest. Our household income for a Roth is well above the MAGI for MFJ by a lot, what else can we do?
HSA limits are also prorated by the number of months you are eligible for a high-deductible health plan, so remember to check that number of months to avoid running afoul of the IRS limits. A good thing to remember when you are planning for or approaching retirement. Also, remember that you cannot make or receive contributions to your HSA after you are enrolled in Medicare. Always check with a qualified tax advisor.
The big question is if your employer will let you make after tax contributions to the 401, or if you make more (12% of gross) do they contribute more or last can you change your private practice plan to let 401 after tax contributions so more money goes towards the 415 limit. One of these plans have to let you make after tax contributions or you make $333,333.33 at the Hospital, which at 12% will be the $40,000 you need to add to your $21,000 so you can have $61,000.
My wife is a hospitalist at a public hospital in Ohio. At public hospitals in Ohio, you are required to contribute to a state pension plan and at her specific hospital, she is also eligible to contribute to a 457(b) and 403(b), which we were pretty pumped about. I have since realized that the pension account is technically a 401(a) (I think). That becomes an issue because now the combined limit for 401(a) and 403(b) accounts comes into play, which I was not expecting.
The Fire Service Training and Education Program (FSTEP) produces continuing education and topic-specific training courses that do not lead to job function certification. Below is a list of FSTEP State Fire Training curriculum for which there are downloadable resources. The pre-2012 curriculum provides student manuals, instructor guides, and instructor PowerPoint templates. The post-2012 curriculum provides only course plans (and student activities if applicable). 2ff7e9595c
